The Judge Group Announces New Veteran Placement Division

February 21, 2013 (Philadelphia) – The Judge Group, a leading global professional services firm, today announced the launch of the company’s newest division, VIP Careers. The mission of Veterans in Professional Careers is to reduce the unemployment rate of U.S. military veterans, wounded warriors and military spouses by helping them find rewarding careers in the civilian workforce.  

“The idea behind creating this new division is to build a business model that would leverage our existing core competencies in consulting, staffing and training,” said Martin E. Judge, Jr., CEO and founder of The Judge Group. “Then apply this success to a deserving population while also bringing outstanding talent to our clients.”  

VIP Careers Director Michael Ferraro will be leading the efforts by forging new public and private relationships, and partnering with government, not-for-profits and corporate entities to reach the common goal of reducing the unemployment rate of our nation’s heroes.  

“The U.S. military is the greatest training program in the world, and these men and women have the skills and attributes our nation needs and wants,” said Ferraro. “Our job in the private sector is to be part of the solution and help make this transition successful. VIP Careers will offer veterans a unique career lifeline, or a ‘boots to boardroom’ approach, to help these men and women transition into good jobs and rewarding careers.”  

Judge will also be implementing the industry-first “Patriot Fellowship Program” by partnering with educational institutions across the nation to not only offer specific training for the veterans, but to also offer student veterans an opportunity to try a career before they enter the workforce.   

Ferraro joins Judge after a distinguished 32-year U.S. Air Force career in both active duty and the reserves. He is retiring in June after serving as the Command Chief Master Sergeant at the Joint Base (McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst). He also enjoyed success in the private sector with corporate leaders in the Fortune 500.
