The Challenge: Addressing Network Security Readiness, While Improving Performance and Reliability

A leading provider of senior wellness recognized the need to improve their network security. The company needed to strengthen their security measures to protect against the increasing number of cyber threats while safeguarding sensitive patient information and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, they were seeking to improve their network performance and reliability while positioning themselves for scalability and future growth.

The Solution: End-to-End Network Redesign and Upgrade Featuring a Comprehensive Meraki Solution

The client enlisted Judge Consulting to design, deploy, and migrate their infrastructure to a new Meraki based network. Judge initiated the project by validating a recent assessment of the existing network and collaborating with key stakeholders to finalize the design and implementation plan. The project was organized into multiple phases including discovery, procurement, planning, implementation and migration, configuration and testing, and ongoing support.

Once the design and implementation plans were approved and the necessary equipment was acquired, Judge configured and deployed the new Meraki MS-355s and MS-225 networking equipment. This included implementing the network segmentation for improved security and configuring of Quality of Service (QoS) settings to prioritize traffic. Judge’s comprehensive migration plan minimized downtime throughout the transition, including during data transfer and user reconfiguration. Judge also provided training to the client’s IT team on managing and troubleshooting the new network infrastructure.

The Result: Delivering an Improved Network with Enhanced Security Protocols

Judge’s solution included a comprehensive testing plan to ensure the new network met performance and security requirements. In addition, Judge provided detailed documentation on the refreshed network configuration, including diagrams, IP addressing schemes, and access control policies. As a result of the solution deployed by Judge, the client’s new network improved in performance, reliability, and security, all while providing scalability for future growth. Judge Consulting remains actively engaged with the client delivering ongoing support and maintenance for the upgraded network. This new system not only better protects the client’s data and systems, but also protects the organization’s reputation by mitigating potential disruptions.
